About She Leads Content
I built the space
I kept looking for.
She Leads Content exists because women doing serious content work deserve more than generic advice, guru-level communities and entry-level pay.
The background
Over a decade in the work.
I've been in content — also read: marketing — for over a decade: writing, editing, building strategies from scratch, managing teams, running paid search campaigns, and reporting to leadership in organisations that often didn't fully understand what content could do.
Across those years, I've worked in edtech, B2B SaaS, marketing platforms, and media. I've led teams of eight. I've taken a brand's organic ranking from obscurity to the top 22,000 websites globally in fifteen months. I've built content operations that produced 60+ pieces a month without losing quality.
And through all of it, I kept noticing the same gap: women at my level — smart, experienced, capable of leading content strategy — didn't have a real home. Not a course platform selling the basics. Not a generic LinkedIn group. A real home.
So I built it.
A few things I know to be true
About content leadership.
Strategy without execution is just a slide deck. The best content leaders can do both.
Your lived experience is an asset, not a footnote. The markets you understand, the constraints you have navigated, the creativity that scarcity requires — that sharpens you.
You don't need a certificate to lead. You need clarity, evidence of your thinking, and rooms that see you clearly.
Community matters more at this level, not less. The higher you go, the fewer people understand your specific challenges.
You should be paid well. That's not a footnote either.
